Tea Cart Refinish

This is a job my wife found for me.  She happened to mention that I refinish antique furniture to a stranger, the next thing I know I have a tea cart in my shop.

This tea cart had seen better days.  The finish was worn away, and it had been sitting in a window getting sun damage.

It turned out the geometric walnut veneers were still in pretty good shape.  Just a couple chips along the edges needed patching.

The stain on the wheels was still pretty vibrant, so I found a matching stain.

Shockingly the wood was in such nice shape under the the damaged finish that the whole project glows.

I am quite proud of how this turned out.  Most importantly, the customer was happy.  “That looks mint”
